Molonglo Valley

Suburbs

Wright

Wright is named after the famous poet and conservationist Judith Wright, whose love of Australia’s natural landscape influenced her writing. The suburb of Wright will also celebrate the landscape, linking homes to the hills beyond.

Located north of Cotter Road, Wright will feature links to such natural attractions as Stromlo Forest Park, the National Arboretum Canberra and the Molonglo River, while also being connected with other parts of Canberra through the new arterial road which will run throughout Molonglo Valley.

Coombs

Coombs is named after the well-known public servant H.C. “Nugget” Coombs, who dedicated more than 30 years of his life to serving the Commonwealth. In keeping with this community spirit, Coombs will be home to Molonglo Valley's first neighbourhood hub, with local shops, a school and mixed-use development all planned for the suburb.

Coombs is located on the eastern side of Molonglo Valley's new arterial road, John Gorton Drive. The suburb will offer the potential for a mix of housing types and densities to make the most of the area’s natural features including open spaces and the Molonglo River.
